Can Southampton's latest batch fulfil the expectations tread by others?

This week has seen two of Southampton's best players agree moves elsewhere. Luke Shaw is off to Manchester United in a deal that makes him the world's most expensive teenager. Meanwhile, Adam Lallana is set to join Liverpool tomorrow afternoon.
The interesting point of course is that Southampton reared these players themselves. The two England internationals are just two of the many young talents Southampton have brought through the ranks over the years.
They have the likes of Callum Chambers, James Ward-Prowse and Harrison Reed still at the club - but it is the likes of Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain, Theo Walcott and Gareth Bale have all come through the ranks.
This trio have since moved on for big money. The Ox and Walcott at Arsenal and Bale went to Tottenham Hotspur. The Welshman has of course since moved on, for a massive amount of money, to Real Madrid.
So with that in mind it is interesting to see Southampton announcing the signature of nine scholars signing deals with the club this afternoon.
Remember the names Alfie Jones, Carel Kayembe, Harley Willard, Jake Hallett, Joe Lea, Ollie Cook, Olufela Olomola, Richard Bakary and Stuart Wilkin - one might be a future Saints superstar.
