'Half the Bundesliga and Premier League are chasing Christian Atsu,' - Club boss comments revealed by journalist

According to the latest claims, Chelsea's Christian Atsu will not be returning to Vitesse Arnhem on loan next season.

Vitesse Arnhem’s head coach Peter Bosz has been quoted as saying that Chelsea’s Christian Atsu will not remain on loan with the Dutch side next season.

Football journalist Stef de Bont – a writer for Voetbal International – has tweeted the following that has been attributed to Bosz:

“Atsu does not return to Vitesse. Half the Bundesliga and Premier League are chasing him.”

The Ghana international recently concluded his World Cup duties, but having shone for Vitesse last season it appears he will not be back there next season.

Atsu signed for Chelsea from FC Porto last summer, and swiftly joined a number of other Chelsea loanees in Holland where he would go on to shine the brightest.

Five goals and six assists for his temporary club does not tell the whole story, as his all-round play impressed game after game. And if the latest quotes are to be believed, it appears plenty of other clubs were paying attention.

Atsu recently said his future would be decided after the World Cup, and with Ghana now eliminated he could have a big decision to make, as could Chelsea.

If there is considerable interest from both Germany and England, Jose Mourinho will have to decide if he wants to see what the 22-year-old can do in the Premier League – a move that proved hugely successful for Romelu Lukaku.
