Top 5 most anticipated new games and DLC for July 2014

Destiny, Mars 2

Wondering what to play next? Here’s our roundup of 5 worthy gaming offerings coming up in July.

5- Ratchet & Clank Trilogy - July 2nd PS Vita

Comprising Ratchet & Clank 1,2 and 3, Sony’s handheld console will be getting a bundle of Insomniac’s classic, charming sci-fi platformers that started back on the PS2

4 - Oddworld: New ‘n’Tasty - July 22nd (North America) July 23rd (Europe) PS4

Abe is making a comeback, first on PS4 and then on just about everything else. The new build of the Abe’s Oddysee game is looking impressive and we’re keen to see New ‘n’ Tasty do well as there’s talk of more revamps and even a new Abe’s Oddysee title to come if the upcoming reboot is a success

3 – Dark Souls II: The Crown of the Sunken King DLC - July 22nd PS3 and Xbox 360

One for the real hardcore Dark Souls fans! From Software will be making the DLC more difficult than the main game and you’ll need to be past a certain point in the game to access it. Bring it on!

2 - Detony Beta - July 17th PS3 and PS4 (late July for Xbox One and Xbox 360)

Bungie will be bringing the beta for Destiny to the PlayStations on a confirmed date of July 17th with the Xbox betas currently said to be due in late July. A hugely ambitious FPS with tonnes of work going into it to make for seamless multiplayer (among other things) we can’t wait to cut through the hype and get a feel for the game.

1 - The Last of Us Remastered - July 29th (North America) July 30th (Europe) PS4

In two words, great game! Redone in 1080p at 60fps Naughty Dog’s reputation for making games that really shine on Sony’s consoles is set to continue and without having to make a new title. Trailer below, beware spoilers.

That’s what we’re most looking forward to in July. If you agree or disagree with our selection let us know in the comments below.
