Arsenal star Mesut Ozil is currently enjoying a successful World Cup with the German national team, as they prepare to take on Algeria in the second round after topping group G.
The former Real Madrid midfielder, however, has also been keeping up to date on his club news and the current ins-and-outs at the Emirates Stadium.
Following the Gunners' decision to allow Nicklas Bendtner, Emiliano Viviano, Park Chu-Young and Kim Kallstrom to leave, German international Ozil took to Twitter to post a final goodbye message to his former teammates.
Danish international striker Bendtner joined Arsenal in 2005 as 17-year-old and went on to make 168 appearances for the club in all competitions, scoring 47 goals in the process.
While not the star striker Arsenal fans originally hoped for, the 26-year-old has contributed a lot to the North Londoners over the years and his time at the club has certainly been entertaining.
Park, however, is less known for his time on the field and perhaps more thought of as one of manager Arsene Wenger’s most bizarre signings in recent years.
Arriving at the club in 2011, the 28-year-old made a total of seven outings for Arsenal, and only one in the Premier League – an eight-minute cameo during a 2-1 home defeat to Manchester United in January 2012.
As for Viviano and Kallstrom, the duo return to their parent clubs having featured very little for Arsenal while on loan. The latter especially caused quite a stir among supporters, as he was signed very late on during the January transfer window, with many hoping for a star striker instead.
With Bacary Sagna also departing Arsenal for Manchester City, many connected with the club will now be hoping to see some fresh faces arrive ahead of next season.
