Tottenham Hotspur manager Mauricio Pochettino is reportedly ready to enter the transfer market for the first time acting as Spurs manager and will look to bring Swansea City defender Ben Davies to the club, in what could amount to an £8 million transfer.
Welshman Davies, who is just 21-years-old, has been developed well by Swansea… so much so that his form in the last season attracted admirers from elite-level clubs including Arsenal, Liverpool, Manchester City and eventual La Liga champions Atletico Madrid.
"It is nice to hear something like that because it clearly means you must be doing something right," the left back, who was awarded an A-grade for his Mathematics A-Level examinations, said at the time.
While those aforementioned clubs are yet to follow up their interest, it is Spurs who could be calculating the first move for the player who returned a total of 76 tackles and 112 clearances in Premier League duty alone last season.

Comparable to Lilywhite left back Danny Rose in areas such as crossing and chance creation, Davies is a noticeable improvement when it comes to passing accuracy, clearing the football and aerial battles.
The Mirror claim that an £8 million transfer could be in the offing yet Swansea "do not want to lose" the player.
