World of Warcraft Warlords of Draenor

Blizzard has offered a look at the improvements coming to male Human character models in the upcoming WoW Warlords of Draenor expansion.

As part of the upcoming Warlords of Draenor expansion for World of Warcraft character models are going to be buffed up with extra polygons to give an updated makeover to players’ toons. Some new images showing the graphical enhancements to the male Human character models have been released showing comparison between the old and new look.

Speaking on the blog WoW art director Chris Roberts explained the concept with the new mle Human models was to create a graphical improvement while retaining the style of the original.

“The male Human has long been a source of criticism from some of you for his odd proportions and face geometry,” wrote roberts. “We’ve taken great care to ensure we’re not changing so much that he looks completely unlike anything you’d expect, while also correcting some of the more glaring problems. We hope you enjoy the results!”

Currently in the alpha testing phase Warlords of Draenor is set to release by the end of this year.
