Balazs Dzsudzsak is reportedly unhappy in Russia and with Everton showing an interest in the player, a Premier League move could be in the offing.

Roberto Martinez could use the current furore surrounding Liverpool striker Luis Suarez to pip the Reds to the signing of Hungary international Balazs Dzsudzsak.

The Uruguayan is currently at the centre of a major media storm after allegedly biting Italy defender Georgio Chiellini in their recent World Cup encounter and with the former Ajax man in line for a potential ban of up to two years, Liverpool face an anxious wait for more news.

In the meantime, Everton could use this distraction to wrap up a deal for Dzsudzsak who was previously identified as a transfer target for both of the Merseyside clubs.

The 27-year-old is reportedly keen to move away from Russia, where he currently plays for Dinamo Moscow.

Speaking to, the Hungarian’s agent Jozsef Vorosbaranyi suggested as much: “Balazs Dzsudzsak has indicated his wish; he wants to change country but he’s contracted to Dinamo Moscow.”

Liverpool reportedly tabled a bid of around £12 million for the winger earlier this season and it is thought that a similar amount could see Everton capture the midfielder, as they aim to seal a top four finish next term.

The Reds, meanwhile, continue to be linked to a number of midfielders, including Crystal Palace star Yannick Bolasie, who has emerged as a surprise transfer target in recent days.

Everton are also in the hunt for further reinforcements, with one potential option being Greece striker Georgios Samaras, who is available on a free after being released by Celtic.
