Leeds United head coach Dave Hockaday hinted there could be a very real possibility of new signings joining the Leeds United squad on their pre-season trip to Italy next week, but refused to commit to names.

Massimo Cellino, who has confirmed to the press that he will be the man behind player acquisitions, is thought to be using his strong connections and knowledge from the Italian divisions in order to get quality players in the Leeds United squad for cheaper than they would cost here.
In recent weeks, Leeds have been linked with the likes of Davide Astori, Victor Ibarbo and Dario Del Fabro in the Italian press but have kept to their word and have not committed to names before the player has signed on the dotted line.
BBC sports broadcaster Adam Pope also confirmed Cameron Stewart, who is due to sign a three-year-deal on the 1st July, and coach Nigel Gibbs were absent from training today:

A deal had been in place for Leeds United to sign Cameron Stewart from Hull this summer, but according to the Daily Mail, Massimo Cellino had started having second thoughts over the winger.
After signing on-loan with a view to a permanent in January, the explosive winger struggled to have any kind of impact at Elland Road and was often criticised by Leeds supporters for his poor performances in the second half of the season.
The situation with Nigel Gibbs, however, remains to be seen as both Hockaday and Cellino have indicated the 48-year-old still has a role at the club if he is willing to work under the new regime.
However, due to his close affiliation with Brian McDermott and his no show today, his future at Elland Road remains a mystery until confirmed otherwise.
