Manchester United Herrera update, Depay price set

Athletic Bilbao midfielder Ander Herrera is heading to Manchester United, with Spanish newspaper AS reporting he was on a plane to England which was due to land tonight. The paper report that a medical was 'pending', while The Metro claim it has already been passed, with United having agreed to pay the €36 million fee required to trigger the release clause in his contract. As of July 1, that clause increases to €40 million, hence United's desire to get a deal done quickly. The Mirror report that Herrera has agreed terms on a 90,000 per week four-year deal. The Star report the deal could be done as soon as within 24 hours.

The Dutch press report that a price of €21 million has been set for Memphis Depay, who is impressing at the World Cup with Holland. Further strong performances from the PSV winger could only serve to increase the fee however.

Arsenal Balotelli pressure

Arsenal have been set a mini-deadline to sign Mario Balotelli by kit manufacturers Puma, report The Express, with July 10 the desired date. This is because Arsenal's kit launch is booked for this date, and Balotelli is a Puma sponsored athlete. The striker is reported to be available from AC Milan at the right price, believed to be in the region of £25-30 million. Whether manager Arsene Wenger will respond positively to any external pressures regarding transfers remains to be seen, with the Frenchman notorious for wanting control in the area.

Sunderland want Kurt Zouma

Sunderland want to sign future Chelsea star Kurt Zouma. The St Etienne defender is due to link up with The Blues after signing for £12 million in January but remaining in Ligue 1. The Mail report however that Gus Poyet is determined to offer Chelsea the chance to send him on loan to a Premier League side for the season, by offering him a place in the Sunderland team.

PSG want Yaya Toure

Yaya Toure's latest outburst against Manchester City has triggered interest from PSG, report The Mirror. Toure said only a month ago that he would be keen to play for the French champions, and is engaged in an ongoing dispute with his club, which began when he accused them of failing to celebrate his birthday. PSG are one side who could afford Toure and his wages, but with a rich midfield in talent already, their need for him is not especially great.
