All the latest summer transfer news from League One...
Forward Febian Brandy was highly rated during his time with Manchester United but failed to make the grade. His career took off during a fine spell with Walsall, but his time with Sheffield United had been disappointing, failing to score at all for the Blades before being loaned back to Walsall. Now, a permanent return to the Saddlers could be on the cards after Blades boss Nigel Clough decided to release the 25-year-old from his contract.
The move continues Sheffield United's busy transfer window so far, whilst Brandy appears set to make the move back to Walsall once again.
Another team who have been busy so far this summer has been Crawley Town, and manager John Gregory made his seventh signing today with the capture of MK Dons striker Izale McLeod. The two worked together at Derby County, and McLeod joins Brian Jensen, Lanre Oyebanjo, Sonny Bradley, Ryan Dickson, Jimmy Smith and Gavin Tomlin in making the move to West Sussex - and forward McLeod says he can't wait to get started.
"I had a good chat with the manager and he sold the ambition of the club to me really well," McLeod said. "It's almost going to be a new team next season and I am looking forward to being part of it."
Peterborough full back Mark Little joined Bristol City on a free transfer today, leaving the Posh without a full back. Yet whilst Craig Alcock also left the club at the end of his contract, United director of football Barry Fry says they are now hoping to bring him back to London Road.
"I have got a couple of deals lined up for right-backs," said Fry. "But the gaffer said Craig hasn't been fixed up yet and we put something to him on Monday."
