In the latest transfer news, former targets of Arsenal, Chelsea and Manchester United have reconfirmed their commitment to Atletico Madrid.
Premier League trio Arsenal, Chelsea and Manchester United will be frustrated in any pursuit for Atletico Madrid duo Koke Resurreccion and Juanfran as, according to MARCA, the Spaniards have extended terms with the Vicente Calderon until 2019 and 2018, respectively.
Playmaker Koke was responsible for many of the direct assists that prolific goalscorer Diego Costa benefitted from. So much so, that an imminent move to the Blues materialised for the striker. Ahead of the mid-season transfer window, Manchester United were linked with the midfielder, while Chelsea were believed to be in the hunt for him earlier this month.
Juanfran, too, was regarded to be a replacement for outbound Ashley Cole, while The Mirror cited Arsenal as a potential destination for the full-back in order to provide further competition to Kieran Gibbs, while Nacho Monreal's future remains ambiguous.
Neither player seems likely to be on the move this summer, now.
Koke and Juanfran have a respective transfermarkt.co.uk valuation of £26 million and £12.5 million.
