EA’s shiny MMA fighting game knocks out Ubisoft’s open-world hacking adventure.
After scoring Ubisoft’s largest day one sales in history Watch_Dogs’ brief run at the top has been ended with EA UFC, the hyper-realistic mixed martial arts fighting game going straight in at number one
With some calling Watch_Dogs one of the most over-hyped games this year the more distinctly next gen qualities with EA UFC are enough to see off the latest AAA adventure.
With Watch_Dogs now at number two FIFA 14 falls one place to number three with previous number one debut Wolfenstein: The New Order at number four and COD: Ghosts hanging ono its number five slot from last week.
After charting high at number two Murdered: Soul Suspect falls three places to number seven this week with the rest of the movement in the top ten heading downwards save for Tomb Raoder: The Definitive Edition which holds onto number ten from last week.

Looking ahead, the latest Transformers game, Rise of the Dark Spark lands this week, we did see the Amazing Spider-man 2 storming number one earlier in the year, a stoic reminder as to why games publishers still bother to make film tie-ins. While Rise of the Dark Spark ties loosely to the Age of Extinction movie it’s also carrying on from the Transformers Cybertron games which were actually pretty good. We’re expecting Transformers to make a grand entrance so expect more movement down the charts next week.
