Manchester United's Shaw ultimatum?

#451108844 / Manchester United have increased their offer for Luke Shaw to £34 million, report The Mirror. The Red Devils were reported to have had previous offers of £27 million and £30 million turned down by Southampton. Shaw is set to make his World Cup debut for England against Costa Rica in under 24 hours. The offer, which equates to €42.5 million, is an illustration of United flexing their financial muscle, as they attempt to get their summer business underway. Costa to Chelsea not done

Diego Costa's Spain side may be eliminated from the World Cup, but he won't be signing for Chelsea imminently. Spanish paper AS report Atletico Madrid's president as confirming Chelsea have not yet paid the £32 million release clause required, and the striker remains with the club until this happens. With Costa coming through the World Cup unscathed from an injury perspective, Chelsea could now decide it is safer to give the green light on the deal over the next week.

Liverpool want Micah Richards

Liverpool are eyeing versatile defender Micah Richards, suggest the Manchester Evening News. Richards has fallen further down the pecking order at Manchester City after Bacary Sagna's arrival, and the defender's versatility and experience should appeal to the Reds. Richards can play at centre-back and right-back, and has Champions League experience to add to the squad.
