All the latest summer transfer news from League One...
Preston have continued their transfer activity by snapping up Bradford City winger Kyel Reid on a two-year deal after his contract expired. Reid, 26, joins Jamie Jones, Calum Woods, Neil Kilkenny, Jordan Hugill and Andy Little in signing for the Lilywhites, and Simon Grayson backed the former West Ham man despite him still recovering from a torn anterior cruciate ligament injury sustained in January.
"He is on his rehabilitation still at the moment, but we did an extensive two-day medical and everything is fine," said Grayson. "He is determined to come back fitter and sharper than he was this time last year, so we had no hesitation in doing the deal now and I am delighted that we have done it."
Staying in Lancashire, newly promoted Fleetwood Town have made their third summer signing, as former Preston and Swansea City striker Jamie Proctor has reunited with manager Graham Alexander, who he played alongside at Deepdale. The Crawley striker, 22, follows Danny Andrew and Keith Southern to the Fylde coast, with the Cod Army looking to survive in League One at the first time of asking.
With most teams making additions, there will no doubt be departures but one that Yeovil Town won't have been wanting to see is that defender Byron Webster has left the club at the end of his contract. Webster, 27, impressed with the Glovers in the Championship, leading to interest from a number of clubs, but Millwall have managed to land the centre back on a two-year deal.
"I can't wait to get started," Webster said. "And to start the season with a game against Leeds, my home-town club, is going to be great. "I spoke to Ed [Upson] and he's being giving me a heads up and speaks very highly about the club. I'm just really looking forward to starting on Thursday."
