Amid vast transfer speculation PSV have stamped a hefty price-tag on Dutch wonderkid Memphis Depay.
Dutch football website V-bal.nl claim Eredivisie outfit PSV Eindhoven have set a price-tag of €21m for the 20-year-old touted as the next Cristiano Ronaldo, Memphis Depay.
The Netherlands winger has already notched two goals at the World Cup finals and is on the radar of Premier League clubs several clubs, including Manchester United and Tottenham.
“Tottenham Hotspur are interested in Memphis. PSV want €21m for him, according to his agent, Kees Ploegsma”, the report states.
The Dutch outlet also noted that Manchester United may also be interested, and while the Eindhoven would rather not see him leave this summer, a realistic offer could see the youngster depart.
“Depay could also be on the agenda of Manchester United, Louis van Gaal’s new club. PSV would rather not sell but an offer above €20m couldn’t be refused.”
The player’s representative took heed when discussing Depay’s current transfer situation, whilst also touching upon his development as young player.
“He has done well while under the spotlight. I do have an idea of what amount PSV want for him, but that’s between us and the club. It will be something in the area of what Kevin Strootman brought in. We’ll see whether there’s an interest in him or if he stays with PSV.”
"Depay is known across Europe as a big talent. He’s an unpolished diamond. He gave a good account of himself yesterday [against Australia]. A lot of clubs know him, some are tracking him. But we can only talk seriously about it when something concrete happens. He’s still young and developing, though he is taking great strides, that’s true.”
