Chelsea transfer news: Lukaku denied loan, Black Cats eye up Zouma

Stamford Bridge

A round up of transfer stories this morning about Chelsea.

Romelu Lukaku’s agent has confirmed that the player won’t be leaving the club again on loan for next season.

One of the ways Jose Mourinho could have pacified the player is by sending him on another loan spell, potentially back to Everton.

“Chelsea doesn't want to loan him out. He has two years left on his contract and we would normally look at extending it shortly,” said Oscar Darmiani Junior.

Sunderland reportedly want to sign Chelsea defender Kurt Zouma on a season long loan from the Blues.

Chelsea signed the former Saint-Etienne star for £12 million last winter before loaning him back to the French club.

Zouma is rated as one of the best defensive prospects currently playing French football.

Atletico Madrid have cast doubt over Chelsea’s imminent deal for striker Diego Costa.

The Spanish club have confirmed that they are yet to receive the cash for the deal, reportedly to be completed following the World Cup.

“We don’t know anything about Costa, all we know is that Chelsea have made contact but we haven’t received any money or anything else yet,” Atletico’s president Enrique Cerezo is quoted by the Express.
