CD Projekt RED’s next game in The Witcher series is due out in February 2015, but last week some development docs were reportedly stolen.
Worry not, we’re not going to have any spoilers for The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt here. But, we will show you one of the leaked concept images at least. Yesterday over on Reddit, user Kromgar posted some links to potential Witcher 3 development images and documents. On DualShockers they reported that the documents had been leaked, ‘apparently through the hacking of a Google Drive account of a developer.’
Speaking to Eurogamer, CD Projekt RED’s marketing boss, Michal Platkow-Gilewski has said, "it has come to our attention that some of the production files for The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt have emerged on the internet." Michal went on to state, "A portion of the files contains information about the story of the game so we strongly advise against accessing them, as this may heavily impact and spoil your future gaming experience. We also like to reassure everyone that the disclosure of said documents does not affect the development cycle in any way."
So, as the documents contain many spoilers to the story, including mission layouts, and even the ending, and with the game’s release a whole 8 months away, it’s going to be tough to avoid any spoilers posted to the internet. Be wary fellow Witcher fans, and make sure you save the story for when you get to play it.
