Serie A transfer latest: AC Milan eye move for ex-Chelsea striker

All the latest summer transfer news from Serie A...

AC Milan have already tied up the signings of goalkeeper Michael Agazzi, defender Alex and playmaker Jeremy Menez, but now it seems Pippo Inzaghi's side are looking to add a striker to their ranks as well. With only Giampaolo Pazzini and Mario Balotelli as recognised centre forwards at the San Siro, it appears that Milan will look to snap up former Chelsea striker Samuel Eto'o.

The Cameroon international is a free agent having left Chelsea at the end of his one-year contract, and the 33-year-old could make a return to Milan having previously starred for rivals Inter under Jose Mourinho. Milan have long been associated with getting the best out of ageing players, and they would need to do the same in order to make a move for Eto'o worthwhile.

Roma enjoyed a superb campaign in Rudi Garcia's first season in charge, finishing second behind winners Juventus. Whilst there is interest in midfielders Kevin Strootman and Miralem Pjanic, Garcia is looking to strengthen his squad and has already added former Barcelona man Seydou Keita. Another midfielder could be on the way, as Fenerbahce have confirmed that talks are underway over a deal for Manchester United target Salih Ucan. The 20-year-old has been tipped as a star of the future, and Roma are trying to make the first move to get him.

Despite winning the Scudetto by 17 points from Roma with 102 points, Juventus will be busy in the transfer market this summer having failed in the Champions League. There may have to be some wheeling and dealing from manager Antonio Conte, and interest is growing from Barcelona and Valencia over striker Fernando Llorente.

However, the latest La Liga side looking to take him back to Spain is Atletico Madrid, who are seeking a new centre forward in light of Diego Costa's expected move to Chelsea. With 16 goals last season, Llorente surely won't come cheap, but Conte could be willing to sell the 29-year-old.
