The 2013/14 season was a 'what could have been' year for Theo Walcott, who saw his campaign wrecked through injury.
After showing just how important he could be to the Gunners with a run of goals through December, his participation in the club's trophy quest was ended in January.
Walcott suffered a serious knee injury, stretchered off in an FA Cup tie against Tottenham.
He missed the rest of the season, and also England's disappointing World Cup campaign.
While his teammates Jack Wilshere and Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain in Brazil, Walcott has not been on holiday or purely sitting around waiting for his injuries to heal.
The winger is busy at work in the gym, determined to recover in time for pre-season, and keen to let supporters know, via his Twitter page.
Arsenal look a different team with the Englishman in the side, his pace combined with his eye for goal offering a threat no player in the squad is capable of delivering.
A return in time for the beginning of the season would be ideal, and if Walcott can recover in time to make it onto the Gunners' pre-season tour, it may just be the best news fans have heard since their Cup Final win.
