La Liga transfer latest: Madrid eye €30m midfielder, Moreno linked with Atletico

All the latest summer transfer news from La Liga...

Real Madrid will surely sign a central midfielder this summer having been linked with moves for Bayern Munich's Toni Kroos and Chelsea's Ramires, but a new name has been suggested in the Spanis press - Ruben Pardo. The Real Sociedad midfielder, 21, has gone some way to replacing Asier Illarramendi, who made the move from San Sebastian to the Spanish capital last summer in a huge deal. Pardo would surely cost around the same as former team mate Illarramendi with a €30m release clause in his contract, and Madrid could well make a move this summer.

City rivals Atletico Madrid are still celebrating winning the La Liga title, but manager Diego Simeone knows that the vultures are circling the club. Diego Costa, Koke and Filipe Luis have all been linked with moves away from the club, and Simeone could be looking to add insurance to his defence in case Manchester United firm up their interest in Brazilian defender Miranda.

Espanyol centre back Hector Moreno has impressed with Mexico at this summer's World Cup, and speculation suggests that Simeone is watching the 26-year-old with a view to a summer bid.

Sevilla were forced to sell a number of star players last summer as the likes of Gary Medel, Jesus Navas and Alvaro Negredo were sold to raise funds - and this summer could be heading the same way. Star midfielder Ivan Rakitic has already been sold to Barcelona, whilst young left back Alberto Moreno could also leave the club. Unai Emery's men have been dealt another blow as midfielder Stephane M'Bia says he won't be returning to Andalusia in a bid to play in the Champions League - preferably with Chelsea.

“I have the utmost respect for Sevilla but it will be difficult for me to stay because I want to play at the highest level and try to win the Champions League,” said M'Bia. "My dream is to be coached by Jose Mourinho, because I think he is a great Coach.”
