All the latest transfer news from League One ahead of the new season.
Preston will be looking to bounce back from yet another playoff disappointment next season, and with Craig Davies and Iain Hume not returning to Deepdale, manager Simon Grayson is making moves to improve his strike force. Port Vale's Jordan Hugill has already signed, and the Lilywhites moved to add Rangers' Northern Ireland international Andrew Little on a free transfer.
"I am delighted that he has chosen us over quite a few other teams," said Grayson. "Andy has a fantastic goal record in Scotland and he can handle playing for a big club, as he has shown with Rangers. He will bring real pace to the striking department and that is something we have been looking to add."
Walsall continue to impress under Dean Smith despite only signing free agents, and they're at it again after the signing of Derby County right back James O'Connor. The former Doncaster Rovers man, 29, was allowed to leave Pride Park at the end of his contract, and manager Smith was delighted to add an experienced head to his defence ahead of the new season.
"In James we have signed an extremely reliable and solid defender," said Smith. "There were a lot of teams interested in him when he left Derby County, but I am delighted that he has chosen to come here. It certainly is a big bonus for us and I look forward to working with him."
Newly promoted Fleetwood Town are an ambitious club who have spent heavily in recent years under the ownership of Andy Pilley, and they've landed another well known Football League name as former Blackpool and Huddersfield Town midfielder Keith Southern has returned to the Fylde coast to sign for Graham Alexander's men.
"I've had other fantastic options but, for a number of reasons, this felt right," said 33-year-old Southern. "I'm 33 but I feel like a kid again. There's so much I want to achieve as a footballer."
