Chelsea transfer news: Courtois reveals 'big meeting'; Thorgan on his way

All the latest news and gossip from Stamford Bridge this morning.

Paul Pogba has set some Chelsea tongues wagging this weekend with his actions on Football Manager. The French international, formerly of Manchester United, is considered one of the best midfielders in the world - but during down-time from international duty at the World Cup in Brazil he has enjoyed playing the management simulation game.

And he fancies himself Jose Mourinho, by taking charge of Chelsea on the game.

And he signed himself for Chelsea on the game - sparking hope he might one day make the move in the real world.

Thibaut Courtois looks like he might be Chelsea's number one stopper next season, after he revealed a 'big meeting' took place with Jose Mourinho in May.

The Belgian has been on loan at Atletico Madrid for three seasons and has previously intimated he would not return to Stamford Bridge to play second fiddle to current incumbent Petr Cech.

And he has now told media:

"I can reveal now that I have had a big meeting with Jose Mourinho in May, before the Atletico v Barcelona game. We talked about my situation. And after this World Cup everything will be clear to everyone."

Valencia appear ready to bring in Thorgan Hazard on loan for next season. The Belgian whizz, and younger brother of Eden, has been sensational during a loan spell at Zulte Waregem in his homeland and is now ready for a step up in class.

Los Che are said to be keen on the 21-year-old and hope to bring him to La Liga next term.

Finally, and recently released left-back Ashley Cole has reportedly not ruled out retirement as he continues to look for a club this summer.

The 33-year-old has been linked with the likes AC Milan, Manchester City, Real Madrid and with a move to MLS since his contract at Chelsea expired - but he may retire if he does not believe he will be sufficiently challenged at a new club.
