A select round-up of the latest news relating to Manchester United…
Following Louis van Gaal’s appointment as the next Manchester United manager a whole host of Dutch players were linked with a move to Old Trafford. One of those was Bruno Martins Indi, the Feyenoord defender who is fast-becoming one of the best young players in Europe.
Martins Indi was tipped to be part of a double-swoop on the Eredivisie club, with Jordy Clasie also linked with United; but now Voetbal International reports that the defender could instead be on his way to FC Porto.
The report suggests that Martins Indi could be set to strengthen the deposed Primeira Liga champions following their disappointing campaign.
The paper claims Eagles boss Tony Pulis will discuss the possibility of the winger returning to Selhurst Park later this summer.
However, with van Gaal likely to want to cast his eye over the player prior to making any decision, a loan move may still be the most likely option, given the Dutchman’s penchant for giving young talent a chance.
