Report: Barcelona will confirm second goalkeeper signing after World Cup

Chilean goalkeeper Claudio Bravo will be confirmed as Barcelona's second new goalkeeper this summer after the World Cup according to reports in Spain.

Barcelona have already signed Marc-Andre ter Stegen from Borussia Monchengladbach and look set to add Bravo as well as they prepare for life after Victor Valdes.

The Chilean goalkeeper will join after the World Cup on a reported three-year deal with the option of a fourth in a €12million switch from Real Sociedad.

Jonathan Dos Santos could be offered to Sociedad to lower the price but it remains unclear if the Mexican will be involved in any deal at this point.

The 31-year-old shot-stopper played 37 times for Sociedad last season keeping 12 clean sheets, and will hope to claim the starting role with the Catalan giants ahead of ter Stegen.

Both goalkeepers are talented, but ter Stegen is just 22 and could play second-fiddle to Bravo next season.

The German played 34 games in the Bundesliga and kept nine clean sheets but he is closely matched with Bravo statistically.

Marc-Andre ter Stegen M'gladbach GK 34 9 43 2.68 3,060

Although the Chilean kept more clean sheets, ter Stegen conceded less goals per game and it will be intriguing to see who claims the No. 1 spot under Luis Enrique next season.

Bravo is enjoying the World Cup with Chile and has only conceded one goal in two games so far, and kept a clean sheet against Spain as the holders crashed out of the tournament on Wednesday.

He looks set to join Barcelona as part of a major overhaul as the La Liga giants look to get back to their best following a disappointing season without a trophy.
