Tottenham Hotspur transfer news: Swiss starlet on radar, defender wanted by Hull

A round-up of transfer stories about Tottenham Hotspur this morning.

Tottenham Hotspur are interested in signing Basel defender Fabian Schar this summer, according to a report.

The Daily Star claims that new Spurs manager Mauricio Pochettino is willing to offer £9 million for the 22-year-old, who is currently playing for Switzerland at the 2014 World Cup finals in Brazil.

It has been reported that Pochettino ‘wants to assess’ the central defender during the tournament in Brazil before making an offer to his Swiss club.

Meanwhile, the Hull Daily Mail has reported that Tottenham defender Michael Dawson is back on the radar of Hull City.

The future of the centre-back under Pochettino is reportedly under doubt, and the Tigers could take advantage of the situation.

However, whether Hull can afford to sign the former Nottingham Forest man is a matter of contention.

According to the Daily Mail, Tottenham manager Pochettino is also monitoring Valencia midfielder Ever Banega.

The 25-year-old was left out of Argentina’s World Cup squad after a disappointing 2013-14 season at club level, having been sent on loan to Newell’s Old Boys in January.

Everton are also said to be interested in former Boca Juniors star Banega.
