Southampton have rightly gained a big reputation as one of the best teams in the world when it comes to talent development and scouting. Last season saw homegrown players such as Adam Lallana, Luke Shaw, Callum Chambers and James Ward-Prowse shine - with the next generation looking promising in the form of Matt Targett and Harrison Reed coming through the ranks.
Of course it is not just the young players at the club that make the grade - the ones who have left are also pretty good.
Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain is coming good at Arsenal while Theo Walcott is also a star at the club. Ever heard of Gareth Bale? He is also said to be doing quite well for himself.
The fact Bale and Walcott were once on the same team is a frightening thought, and it is hard not to feel sympathy to anyone who had to come up against that pace when younger.
Today Walcott, who is currently out with a serious knee injury, has shared a picture on Twitter with the hashtag #FlashbackFriday which shows him and a young Bale - many years before the latter became the world's most expensive player.
