Nintendo hint N64 titles could be on the way for Wii U Virtual Console

Mario 64

N64 games might be joining NES, SNES and GBA titles already available to Wii U gamers.

In an update on the official Nintendo site, Nintendo appear to be working to bring N64 games out for Wii U’s virtual console.

“Check back regularly for the latest releases,” reads the website. “ including the future addition of titles from the Game Boy Advance and Nintendo 64 systems.”

Previously Nintendo have been bringing a steady flow of retro NES and SNES games back for Wii U. More recently games from the Game Boy Advance and Nintendo DS have also made their way onto the virtual console. There’s no word as yet regardng GameCube titles.

There’s a fair few N64 titles we’d like to see coming back and if Nintendo’s word is anything to go on we may well be getting some soon.
