Liverpool transfer news: Borini to be axed in double deal, £25m star prefers Anfield move

A round up of transfer stories this morning about Liverpool.

The Mirror claims Liverpool could offer Fabio Borini in a double deal for Adam Lallana and Dejan Lovren.

The Southampton pair have been constantly linked with an Anfield switch and Brendan Rodgers is reportedly open to the idea of including Borini in the deal.

The Italian striker spent last season on loan with Sunderland before returning to Anfield.

Benfica winger Lazar Markovic would reportedly prefer a move to Anfield over a switch to Stamford Bridge.

Liverpool have made enquiries about the £25 million star but are yet to make an official move.

They could pass on the option of signing him, but re-assess the situation if talks for Bayern Munich winger Xherdan Shaqiri break down.

TalkSPORT has run quotes from left-back target Marcos Rojo which suggest the Sporting Lisbon star would prefer a move to Barcelona.

The 24-year-old is one of several left-backs to have been linked with an Anfield move over the past few weeks.

“Obviously I'd like to play for Barcelona, but I still haven't spoken to Leo [Messi] about anything to do with it,” he told Spanish newspaper Sport.
