New Manchester United boss Louis van Gaal has named a strong side to face the Australians.
Netherlands: Cillessen, Janmaat, Vlaar, De Vrij, Martins Indi, Blind, De Guzman, De Jong, Sneijder, Robben, Van Persie.
The Dutch will be looking to back up that superb 5-1 win against Spain in their opening World Cup game with another three points against Australia.
They go into the game as the clear favourites and will most likely adopt a far more attacking formation than the one they used in that win against the world champions.
The Aussies put up a gutsy fight against Chile but this is a different challenge altogether against one of the sides to have played some of the best football of the tournament so far.
A win would provide Louis van Gaal with the potential luxury of being able to rest players against Chile ahead of the last 16, but Manchester United’s new manager will be determined to ensure as simple a route as possible through the knock out stages.
There are plenty of Dutch stars to watch out for in this game with Robin Van Persie bang on top form while Bayern Munich winger Arjen Robben has maintained his solid performances from the Bundesliga.
