Roma midfielder Miralem Pjanic would love Bosnia teammate Edin Dzeko to join him in the Italian capital next season.
Roma are on the lookout for striking reinforcements and midfield star Miralem Pjanic knows who he would like to see arrive this summer.
After finishing second in Serie A last term, Roma's major priority is to add a reliable goal-getter to galvanise the squad for the 2014-15 campaign.
Various names have been mooted, including Chelsea's Romelu Lukaku, but Miralem Pjanic, who was one of Roma's stars of last season would love to see Dzeko arrive.
"If Roma were to sign Dzeko it would be a major coup because he is one of the best players in Europe.
"He is a player who can make the difference. Even when he doesn't score for Bosnia he is very important. But our strength lies in the balance of the team and we don't rely on individuals.
"I am playing a completely different role to the one I play at Roma. I am far away from goal. But that doesn't matter. Our coach has decided that is where I am needed and so that's where I will be."
Inter were reportedly keen to sign Dzeko but appear to have given up the hunt after his excellent end to the campaign for Manchester City took him beyond their price range.
There have also been reports suggesting that Serie A champions Juventus could step in for the Bosnian marksman, who has admitted that he grew up dreaming of playing in Italy.
