A selection of the latest stories surrounding Tottenham Hotspur this Tuesday evening.
Tottenham's chances of landing Napoli forward Goran Pandev appear to be slim according to TalkSport, as they have picked up on suggestions that he would like to spend the rest of his career at the Serie A club.
However, the quotes from Radio CRC seem to give some hope of teams that interested in the player a chance to land him, and there have been suggestions in the past that he could be used as a makeweight to land Jan Vertonghen.
Pandev's agent Carlo Pallavicino is quoted, saying: “I would hate it if Pandev were to leave Napoli. He considers Napoli to be his home, so it would be painful if he had to leave the club.
“The idea has been to end his career at Napoli, but if things change, he might consider a move abroad. However, the team have not called me and this bodes well.”
Ben Arfa is said to be out of favour at the club and there were rumours linking him with a move to the far east but these have been dismissed by Michael Ouazine.
The report picks up on quotes from L'Equipe, which say: “He remains on a one-year contract at Newcastle and Hatem has the intention to continue to play in Europe.”
West Ham are also said to be interested in Ben Arfa, and Everton, Monaco, along with Borussia Dortmund have also been linked.
Finally, a pre-season friendly has been announced for Spurs against Schalke at White Hart Lane on Saturday August 9, kicking off at 5:30pm.
