Chelsea transfer news: Gunners eye key star, huge pay deal for Kroos

Petr Cech

A round up of transfer stories about Chelsea this morning.

The Express claims Arsenal will make a move for Chelsea goalkeeper Petr Cech.

Cech’s future could be in doubt after Jose Mourinho made it clear that Thibaut Courtois would be returning to West London after the World Cup.

Courtois has made quite public pleas that he wants to be Chelsea’s number one heading into next season.

Chelsea will make an offer of €8.5 million per year to Toni Kroos according to German tabloid Bild.

Kroos’ future has been in doubt ever since he turned down an initial contract extension from Bayern Munich.

The Blues are reportedly keen on trying to sign him ahead of Manchester United and Real Madrid.

Atletico Madrid left-back Filipe Luis looks set for a move to Chelsea according to the Daily Mail.

The Mail suggests that the Blues are willing to match the £21 million buy-out clause in the player’s current contract.

Should he sign he’s likely to join teammates Tiago and Diego Costa at Stamford Bridge.
