Manchester United transfer news: LvG to focus on Kroos alternative, hasn't given up on Bayern deals

A round up of transfer stories this morning about Manchester United.

The Express claims Manchester United have switched their focus to signing Fredy Guarin after giving up on signing Toni Kroos.

United made a public play to get the Bayern Munich midfielder, but he could now sign a new contract at the Allianz Arena.

Guarin has been linked with United as far back as last summer when David Moyes first took over.

The Mail claimed over the weekend that United were still interested in two key Bayern players; Bastian Schweinsteiger and Arjen Robben.

Schweinsteiger is thought to be mulling over a potential new deal at the club while Robben has come close to joining United in the past.

However, in the case of the Dutchman, a deal could be difficult as he’s one of Pep Guardiola’s most important players.

Alvaro Morata has reportedly made it clear to Real Madrid that he wants a move to Serie A giants Juventus.

Morata has been linked with United as well as Arsenal and Tottenham Hotspur in the Premier League.

However, he apparently has his heart set on the Italian side and is willing to leave for free at the end of next season to make the move happen.
