The hit fabric puzzle/platformer will also be out for PS3 after Sony revealed PS4 version at E3.

Sony announced LittleBigPLanet 3 in development at Sumo Digital during their recent E3 press conference without mention of a PS3 version, leading some to suggest the new LBP game would be a PS4 exclusive. LBP fans still on PS3 won’t be left out however according to community co-ordinator Steven Isbell, who has since taken to Twitter to say. “LBP3 will also be available on PS3. We will have more news on that later.”

Currently pencilled in for a November release LBP3, which will once again benefit from the dulcet tones of Stephen Fry, will be going to new depths. A new tool for Sackboy to use called the “Pumpinator” will allow him to blow air to manipulate objects. There’s also a focus on multiplayer with new characters to play each with differing abilities.

Oddsock a dog-like creature can run faster than Sackboy and perform wall-jumps. Swoop can fly around levels picking up light objects and other characters. The heavyweight Big Toggle can weight down pressure plates and platforms and his opposite Little Toggle is small enough to fit through tiny spaces and light enough to walk on water.

Level creators will be able to switch between two of the above characters during gameplay and any LittleBigPlanet levels made in the previous two games will be playable in LBP3.

Below is the E3 trailer showing off the new characters and the evil Newton boss.
