A selection of the latest news involving Tottenham Hotspur this Monday evening.
Tottenham are still said to be interested in Manchester United striker Javier Hernandez according to the Daily Star, as the Mexican forward has dropped another hint suggesting he could leave Old Trafford.
Hernandez is quoted, saying: "I've never seen myself as a sub and I don't like being one, and believe me, I am tired of a lot of people seeing me that way, as a super-sub.
"I'm a player that has made a difference as a starter."
It is said that he commands a fee of £4 million, with the report saying he is regarded as one of the hottest properties in the Football League.
The report also states that the club will step up their interest to try and sign Inter Milan midfielder Ricardo Alvarez, after reports emerged last week saying that Head Coach Mauricio Pochettino is a big fan of the Argentine.
Away from transfers, and goalkeeper Hugo Lloris has been commenting on the drones controversy surrounding the French team at the World Cup, saying that he was actually quite impressed by them.
He said: “It’s a good invention. It was very small and it flew well.
"We heard it and then we saw it. We didn’t see anyone controlling [it]. Maybe they were behind the stand. It didn’t stay over us for a long time. There was nothing we could do to stop it – maybe kick the ball at it. But it’s a big challenge to hit it.”
