Chelsea transfer news: Ramires 'not for sale' says Mourinho; £7m Shaw alternative

All the latest transfer news and gossip from Stamford Bridge this morning.

Jose Mourinho has told Spanish source Marca that Ramires is going nowhere this summer. The Brazilian has been heavily linked with a move to the Bernabeu this summer - as Carlo Ancelotti is a massive fan of the player.

But Mourinho has stated:

"Ramires is staying at Chelsea. He's not for sale. I have an excellent friendship with important people within Real Madrid and they know that Ramires is going to stay at Chelsea."

Chelsea have reportedly earmarked CSKA Moscow defender Georgi Schennikov as their new left-back target. The Blues are losing long-term incumbent Ashley Cole on a free transfer this summer. It was previously believed that Southampton left-back Luke Shaw could be on his way to the club - but he reportedly favours a move to Manchester United, despite being a boyhood Chelsea fan.

Schennikov, a Russian international, is 23-years-old and has also been linked with AC Milan and Real Madrid in the past.

Now The Blues are set to swoop, with a £7 million offer being readied.

Chelsea owner Roman Abramovich has given the go-ahead for a massive scouting mission by the club. His personal scout Piet de Visser has seen plenty of big names slip through his fingers in recent years - including the French starting midfield of Yohan Cabaye, Paul Pogba and Blaise Matuidi.

But he and the club are determined for that to never happen again - as they look for more talent to improve their impressive youth set-up.

Chelsea striker Romelu Lukaku is a transfer target for new Spurs boss Mauricio Pochettino. The Belgian, who spent last season on loan at Everton, is believed to want a move from Stamford Bridge - as he wants guaranteed regular first-team football.

Pochettino is reportedly a big fan of the player and sees him as an excellent addition up front.
