The future of Chelsea striker Romelu Lukaku is well and truly up in the air. The Belgian striker spent the last two seasons away from Stamford Bridge. Both were exceptional terms. He banged in the goals for West Brom before doing much the same at Everton last campaign.
The powerful forward appears to have made it clear that he has no intention of returning to Chelsea next season. He is said to be unhappy at the club's decision to bring in Diego Costa - which leaves him looking at another season on the sidelines at Stamford Bridge.
Everton are keen, while he has turned down West Ham's advances. Yesterday saw Tottenham Hotspur linked with his signature, Mauricio Pochettino keen to bring him in.
But Inter Milan are now being linked with the player - but Chelsea would be bringing in a player as part of the deal.
It is reported in the Gazetta dello Sport that Lukaku would be on his way to Internazionale, with Mauro Icardi coming in the opposite direction.
Icardi only recently became a fully fledged Inter player earlier this week, after a season at the San Siro co-owned by Sampdoria.
But it is believed the club could still cash in on the player. The report claims that Chelsea boss Mourinho is much more fond of the Argentine international then his current option Lukaku despite him outperforming the Inter player last season.
Lukaku bagged 18 goals in 38 appearances last season for The Toffees - Icardi on the other hand managed just nine in 22.
However the suggestion is Lukaku could be offered to the Nerazzurri along with €10 million so Mourinho can get his man.
