I am casting my eye back to this exact day, the 14th June 2014, but a year earlier.
What were the main tales from that day? What big events were happening in Premier League football?
Here are some of the big scoops from the 14th June 2013…
Lets have some Chips
Arsenal announced their new chairman after Peter Hill-Wood stepped down from the role. The Gunners decided that the best man for the job would be Sir Chips Keswick.
Hill-Wood stepped down because of health reasons after suffering a heart attack a year previous.
Keswick had been on the Arsenal board since 2005 and was the former chairman of Hambros Bank.
During his reign he has given the green light on Arsenal's most expensive signing in their history, the £42.4 million arrival of Mesut Ozil from Real Madrid. He has also seen the club end their trophy drought by winning the FA Cup.
Taking the Mikel
John Obi Mikel was reportedly all set to leave Chelsea, after 'agreeing' a move with Turkish outfit Galatasaray. The story originated from his Nigerian homeland, with the fee in the region of £12 million.
Jose Mourinho was said to not be a fan of the player, so was happy to let him go.
However a move never materialised. Mikel might wish now that it had. The player was rarely used by Mourinho and is being linked with a move to Inter Milan this summer - especially since the arrival of Nemanja Matic in January.
Iago Aspas' move to Liverpool was fast becoming a transfer saga - after the deal was blocked by the Spanish Football Federation.
It was due to a bitter dispute between Celta Vigo and his agency - so the federation decided to withhold his registration until an agreement was made.
There was also money owed by Liverpool or Celta to his previous teams - money only paid off in April.
In the end they got their man, but he has been a bit-part player at Anfield and is reportedly considering a move back to Spain.
