Manchester City have once again signed a great player from their feeder club - as they attempt to defend the Premier League title next season.
The only problem is, this feeder club is Arsenal - and the fans are getting fed up of watching their best players depart for The Etihad.
The player in question is Bacary Sagna. It has been known for a long time now that Sagna was leaving the club this summer. With his contract expiring and Arsenal refusing to budge on their policy of over-30's contracts he was always going to leave.
But the rumour mill always suggested that he would not be joining a Premier League team. Paris Saint-Germain, Inter Milan, Fenerbahce, Galatasaray, AS Monaco, AS Roma. A huge list of teams saw their names linked with Sagna across the continent.
But he has instead joined Manchester City - following Kolo Toure, Gael Clichy, Emmanuel Adebayor and Samir Nasri in making the same move.
It is an understandable switch. Sagna is settled in the UK and City are the champions. No brainer, right? He will battle with Pablo Zabaleta for the right-back slot, but considering the amount of rotation Manuel Pellegrini does he is likely to still play plenty of football next season.
However, despite all the reasonable considerations as to why Sagna would choose City - including the three-year deal he craved and what is bound to be a handsome pay-rise - Arsenal fans are furious at watching a fifth big name swap Arsenal for City in recent times. Especially as it came a day after former captain Cesc Fabregas joined London rivals Chelsea from Barcelona.
And they have made their feelings clearly known on Twitter.
Here is a selection of Tweets from Arsenal fans...
