Alex Pato may be willing to return to Europe after his two year spell in Brazil saw him dropped from the national team.
Napoli are said to be interested in the former Milan forward, who stoked the rumours by telling La Gazzetta del Sud: "Italy is marvellous and still remains in my heart.
"A return? We'll see what happens."
Both Tottenham and Arsenal have once again been linked with the former Serie A star, who for a long time was held up as Brazil's next big thing only to see him form in Italy stutter.
Despite moving back to his home country to get regular football ahead of this summer's World Cup, Pato has nevertheless found himself on the outskirts of Scolari's Brazil setup, and misses out all together on a tournament he seemed destined to star in since he burst on to the international scene in 2009.
Pato claimed to have turned down a move to White Hart Lane last summer after careful deliberation with his agent, instead opting to stay with Corinthians.
And this January Arsenal had a £6.6 million offer rejected as they sought back up for Olivier Giroud. The Express reports that both clubs remain rivals for the striker, though a return to Italy is said to be his favoured option according to his quotes. Spurs may hope that the presence of their two Brazilian midfielders can sway things in their favour.
This season didn't work out well for Pato, who moved across town to rivals Sao Paulo on loan, and the forward has scored just one goal in four games.
At just 25-years-old, Pato is more than capable of becoming the top class player he hinted at earlier in his career, and Corinthians are believed to be willing to sell for £12 million.
