Manchester United striker Wayne Rooney has taken a ‘dig’ at Cristiano Ronaldo for needing individual glory, insisting that he is more focused on team achievements instead.
"I'm not a player who needs that. Not like Cristiano Ronaldo, he has to have that and you admire him for it,” said Rooney.
"I'm more about winning things as a team. He wants his moments. I've won PFA Player of the Year, which is nowhere near as good as winning a trophy with United."
In transfer news, United remain heavily linked with Germany star Bastian Schweinsteiger who could be brought in by Louis van Gaal from Bayern Munich.
According to reports, the Bavarians’ boss Pep Guardiola does not see the midfielder as integral to his plans at the Allianz Arena and could be open to selling him for the right price.
Meanwhile, United target Cesc Fabregas has confirmed his move to join Chelsea.
