Since the announcement that GTA V will be coming to next-gen consoles and PC a couple of days ago at E3, it has no doubt put minds at ease, what with all the speculation as to whether they were actually working on it in the first place.
The PC version of the game has appeared on Steam with the words ‘available: Fall 2014’. There is a description for the game however, and it includes some positive info.
Obviously there will be increased resolution and graphics quality, but we’ll also get ‘denser traffic, greater draw distances, upgraded AI, new wildlife, and advanced weather and damage effects.’ But what a lot of people want to know for the GTA Online aspect of the game is when the heists will be available.
Rockstar had slated the heists to be made available in Spring, but with Spring officially ending on 20th June, there’s not much time left. If the heists don’t arrive, could they be incorporating them into the launch of the next-gen GTA V? It would make sense I suppose.
A video editor will also be included in the PC version, which is ‘designed for advanced movie-making. And with the PC modding community I’m sure we’ll see some pretty imaginative creations later this year.
The trailer for the next-gen announcement looked great, and it’s clearly looking like a much more realistic environment, with lush vegetation and sharper textures.
Here’s the announcement trailer.
