Cesc Fabregas' return to the Premier League is concerned, but to the shock of fans everywhere it is not with Arsenal.
Instead the Spanish international signs with Jose Mourinho's Chelsea, stating they were the best of the offers he had available.
Arsenal chose not to pursue him, and this was confirmed by Fabregas himself, who hinted that a move to the Gunners was what he really had in mind.
In a farewell letter to Barcelona fans, he wrote: "Yes, everyone knows that Arsenal had the first option to sign me.
"They decided not to take this option and therefore it wasn't meant to be. I wish them well in the future."
Cesc's comments hint that a Gunners return was his first choice due to the emotional connection, but having been spurned by Arsene Wenger, he took a look on a practical level at the most exciting squad to join.
Playing in a Chelsea side alongside Eden Hazard, Willian, Oscar, Nemanja Matic and potentially Diego Costa is surely even more mouth-watering for a player as skilled as Cesc, as it is for fans wanting to see the stars in action.
Arsenal find themselves suddenly under pressure to produce in the transfer market even more now than they were, having passed up on a genuinely world class footballer who had a desire to play for them.
