Though Liverpool fans may be feel somewhat torn on the issue, depending on which national team they follow, it is hard not to want the world's best players on display in Brazil, especially considering the likes of Franck Ribery, Radamel Falcao and Marco Reus have already been ruled out of this summer's World Cup spectacle.
And Luis Suarez is certainly one of the very best, having just finished an outstanding season at Anfield that saw him score 31 goals in 33 league games.
The Liverpool and Uruguay icon had minor surgery on his left knee recently which likely left fans in Montevideo fearing the worst after a series of high profile withdrawals that seemed like continuing with the former Ajax forward.
But Suarez has always been confident that he would be ready for the group stage matches in good time, with the latter games against England and Italy the key fixtures.

As it is, the player himself, and the pictures above seem to show everything is going to plan.
"The knee is getting better," Suarez said in a video message recorded for 888 poker. "I feel very good. I have to go day by day but everything is on the right way."
Oh well Roy, at least the England team will be used to playing against Suarez and therefore able to put a stop to his attacking threat. Or not, if last season's Premier League was anything to go by.
