I am casting my eye back to this exact day, the 11th June 2014, but a year earlier.
What were the main tales from that day? What big events were happening in Premier League football?
Here are some of the big scoops from the 11th June 2013…
Higuain price up
Arsenal were told by Real Madrid to up their price for Gonzalo Higuain by Real Madrid president Florentino Perez.
It was the first time that Arsenal were being challenged on their spending power, considering they were promising a big splash last summer.
Perez reportedly said, on the subject of the asking price for Higuain:
“With £25.5m it’s better that they don’t come. Let’s see if people ask us for £50million for everyone and we sell one of ours for half that.”
In the end Real did get more for the player, around £32.25 million, bit not from Arsenal - but from Napoli.
Moyes in the market
David Moyes made his first signing as Manchester United manager - as the club finalised a deal for Guillermo Varela.
He is still waiting for his first appearance for United and could spend next season out on loan to get regular first-team football - with Boca Juniors believed to be in pursuit.
Chelsea 'signed' Partizan Belgrade attacking midfielder Lazar Markovic a year ago today - immediately sending him out on loan to Benfica in the process.
It was reported that the talent was to be loaned out to the Portuguese club for two seasons before becoming a Chelsea player in 2015.
However, days later, this was denied. Instead Markovic is simply a Benfica player and had instead signed a five-year deal with the Portuguese outfit, in a confusing eight hours or so of transfer business.
