This week has seen the rumours linking Cesc Fabregas with a move to Chelsea heighten. The former Arsenal captain had also been linked with Manchester United, Manchester City and Liverpool in recent weeks - after it became clear that new Barca boss Luis Enrique was happy for the boyhood Barca fan to leave this summer.
A deal believed to be in the region of £35 million is said to be in the pipe-line. Reports are now stating that Jose Mourinho sees the deal as done and hopes for the finer print to be finalised before the start of the World Cup for Spain.
Arsenal fans are obviously perturbed at the news - why would he go there with so many old friends back at The Emirates?
Well he does known a few of the players at Chelsea. One who will be coming with him looks like Atletico Madrid countryman Diego Costa, with a £32 million deal set in stone. Meanwhile he will also have a friend in Cesar Azpilicueta. The pair are Spanish international team-mates, but they might not be friends by the time, as believed, Fabregas arrives at Stamford Bridge.
Fabregas defeated him in a table-tennis tournament yesterday, whilst on Spanish World Cup duty in Brazil, and duly posted the victory to Instagram.
