We bring you all the latest news involving the Midlands based clubs that has broken in the last 24 hours.
1) Joe Cole wants to win trophies at Aston Villa
Aston Villa’s newest signing, Joe Cole, is determined to win trophies after his move to Villa Park.
The 32-year-old completed a free transfer to Villa today and he is optimistic about his future at the club – as he looks to achieve more in his already impressive career.
"The fire is still burning in me. I want to do well. I want to play at the highest level and win things still and this club fits," he told Villa's official website.
"With the young squad we've got here, we've had two seasons consolidating and now we're going to want to push on, which I'm very excited about."
2) Stoke want Barcelona youngster Adama Traore
Stoke City are looking to sign Adama Traore from Barcelona, according to the Sentinel.
Mark Hughes has already added three players during this transfer window, but there are no signs that the additions at the Britannia Stadium will stop there – with the Potters still being linked to a host of players.
Traore is an 18-year-old striker, who has a decent reputation at Barcelona, and he could follow Marc Muniesa, who joined Mark Hughes’ side from the Catalan giants last summer.
3) Burnley still interested in Craig Dawson
Despite having a £1million bid rejected yesterday, Burnley have not given up hope of signing West Bromwich Albion’s Craig Dawson.
According to the Lancashire Telegraph, Dawson is hoping for a move away from the Hawthorns after finding his chances of first-team football limited and would like the move to Burnley to go through.
The Clarets will have to up their bid and compete with fellow newly promoted sides QPR and Leicester City if they are to get their man though.
4) Birmingham City want even more additions
Lee Clark has said that he is hoping to bring in more players this summer as he looks to strengthen his Birmingham City side.
Blues have already signed three new players this transfer-window, but further new arrivals are imminent as Clark looks to add quality to his side to avoid a repeat of last season’s relegation battle.
“With the paperwork and medicals and all that, there has been a lot of work put into the first three deals and I’m hoping the momentum doesn’t stop there and that there is a lot more movement,” he revealed to the official site.
"We’re obviously really short in terms of the numbers of players in the senior squad so we have to move quickly. In the market we’re in with no transfer fees there is no point in us waiting around and seeing if anything else drops.”
5) Wolves announce Rajiv van La Perra signing
Wolverhampton Wanderers have secured the signing of Dutch winger Rajiv van La Perra.
The 23-year-old was out of contract after his deal at Heerenveen expired and Wolves acted swiftly to secure the deal to bring him to Molinuex.
La Perra is the second addition of Wolves’ transfer window so far, with Tommy Rowe also joining the club as they look to bolster their squad following promotion to the Championship last season.
