Bethesda’s official E3 DOOM trailer is promising more at Quakecon.

Doom 4 or DOOM as it’s being referred to has become the focus of a trailer from Bethesda at E3 2014. While there’s unfortuantely no gameplay to look at the trailer is suggesting we’re going to be getting more soon with a reveal at this year’s Quakecon running from July 17-20 in Dallas Texas.

‘Now this brave new world has gone to hell’ says the narrator as the trailer reveals a giant, horned, cannon-toting beastie formed by an ‘unholy union’ of living flesh and metal.

DOOM’s progression has been held up in a developmental quagmire with early reveals of the game in 2011 met with some negativity. The game has since gone back to the drawingboard with Bethesda recently announcing access to the Beta for those that pre-ordered Wolfenstein: The New Order Those that did on PS3, PS4, Xbox 360 , Xbox One and PC will have a code to allow them access to the PC, PS4 and Xbox One Beta phases.

What are your thoughts about the new Doom game? Is DOOM a title you care about any more? Do you think trying to resurrect the Doom franchise is worthwhile?
