United could miss out as Barcelona reportedly prepare €35m bid for Marco Reus

Reported Manchester United target Marco Reus is being tipped to be the subject of a substantial bid from Barcelona.

It was reported by Spanish newspaper Sport last week that Barcelona had agreed personal terms with Marco Reus over a possible move.

But now the same paper claims the Spanish side is preparing a €35million offer for the Borussia Dortmund man.

If true, that will come as bad news to those Manchester United fans eager to see Reus at Old Trafford. After all, he has been in blistering form for Jurgen Klopp’s side, scoring 23 goals and providing 23 assists in his last domestic campaign.

The 25-year-old either scored or set up a total of 46 goals last season. No wonder he is such hot property.

There had been rumours last month that Reus wanted a move to United, after quotes that at the time were attributed to Mario Gotze claimed his German international teammate had always craved a move to Old Trafford.

But it now appears the player who was only recently ruled out of the World Cup could be set to form an outstanding attacking triumvirate with Lionel Messi and Neymar.

What United would give for just one of those players. But if the latest report is true, Barca could soon have all of them.
