Real Madrid coach Carlo Ancelotti has commented on reports linking the club with a big money move for Luis Suarez.
Madrid have been linked with the Uruguayan, who scored 31 goals in the Premier League last season, to make a golden-trio of Suarez, Cristiano Ronaldo and Gareth Bale at the Bernabéu.
Reports suggest that Suarez is happy at Anfield, but that a bid similar to that Real paid for Ronaldo and Bale could tempt the Merseyside club.
But Ancelotti would neither confirm nor deny an approach for Suarez, after hailing his attacking talents.
"Suarez is a fantastic player but it would be a lack of respect to talk about signings at this stage,” The Italian reportedly said.
The Madrid boss also moved to comment on the transfer speculation surrounding star midfielder Angel Di Maria.
Di Maria was the most creative player in both La Liga and the Champions League last season, but has been linked with a move away from Real.
Ancelotti reassured that the club hold Di Maria in high stead, and that the Argentine knows his value to the club.
"I think that Di Maria knows very well that everyone loves him," he added.
"The coach, the club and the fans love him. I don't think he has any doubt about that.”
Both Suarez and Di Maria will feature at the World Cup this summer, with the latter holding high hopes of winning the tournament.
Suarez will go up against the likes of England and Italy as Uruguay bid to escape from the group stages, while Di Maria along with fellow Argentinian’s Lionel Messi and Sergio Aguero will be hoping to go all the way in Brazil.
